Alessandro Barisone, from Softeco Sismat, has joined the Sheffield University Management School (SUMS) for a secondment within the ProSFeT project. Working in collaboration with Andrea Genovese (Professor of Logistics and Supply Chain Management), Alessandro cooperated in designing the specification for a Decision Support System software to evaluate the economic viability of a UCC (Urban Consolidation Centre) and its location according to different hypothesis about its customers, the demand for logistics services and the staff and fleet of vehicles required.
